About me

I have 8 children. Before you ask (because everyone does), YES, they are all mine. I also have a ton of kids from other mothers...mostly teenagers. I love young people and have a passion for making a difference in the world of ones who may not have a caring adult in their lives. I pray a lot. I'm a volunteer for Gathering Grounds, an all-ages music venue. I book the bands, plan events, maintain their 3 MySpaces as well as their little spot of internet real estate on Meetfred and Xianz. I do a lot more to promote, network and minister but the list would bore you to tears. I design unique clothing and beautiful jewelry and accessories. I sew for my children. I love attending the summer music festivals, especially Cornerstone. I'm involved in pro-life and authentic feminist activism. I am an enthusiastic advocate for breastfeeding and attachment parenting. I spend most of my Fred time on Gathering Ground profile but I decided that, with a national election coming up, I should set up my own profile because I have a hard time keeping my opinions to myself.

Music: I was born metal. I love metal. Over the years I've discovered I love a lot of other genres too though. Television: TV-U is on more than anything else. I love cop shows - CSI, Criminal Minds, Law and Order. Sometimes I watch Boston Legal. It's the only good acting I've ever seen out of William Shatner.
Books: I am an information junkie. I read my Bible and a lot of non-fiction. My favorite authors are Kevin Lehman, James Dobson, and Phil McGraw.
