How do you handle the heat?humidity?

With these days being so hot and humid, I was just wondering how some of you deal with it?
I don't have AC so just running all of our fans. But the humidity is killin' me! What's worse is now I am dealing with heat rash! Ack! I keep mixing up corn starch and baking soda and putting it in the container that normally has baby powder (which also got used up) in it. I put the powder mixture on myself throughout the day but still.....
My dryers not working and I can't afford to have it repaired or replaced so I have to hang stuff outside- then the mosquitoes get me! I even put repellent on this morning before I went out and I think they still got me!

Well anyway- I was wondering how the rest of you deal with this miserable weather.
I really shouldn't complain so much- considering their are people dealing with worse weather related problems than mine, i.e. flooding and death of loved ones and loss of homes, etc. from storms and hurricanes, etc. I send up prayers for them. Please would you also keep them in your prayers? Thank you. Oh also the rescue personnel.

Gold Bond powder works miracles.
and a huge glass of ice water.
all you can really do, I'm afraid.

OH. you know what else I do? I think about how WONDERFUL that sun beating down on my skin would feel if there was snow all around me and seriously... it helps.

Yes- I think I need to buy some more Gold Bond powder.

Ha-ha- I usually try to think of a giant ice cube! I don't want to think of anything hot when I'm already hot! Well whatever works for you I guess. :)
