Great Christmas despite no water

Found out on Christmas that we had a leaky water pipe in the basement. I called the landlord and left a message on their answering machine about it. They called me later and said they'd be out the next day to look at it. Long story short- I had to turn off the water and did not have water for several days. We had to get water from neighbors but I was still able to make Christmas dinner and we had a nice Christmas anyway. My daughter and son-in-law came for dinner and brought their cute Chihuahua puppy.
They loved my turkey and said it wasn't overcooked and dried out. They made me feel good!
So it all worked out.
The landlady and landlord did get a plumber over here on Wednesday to replace the pipes with PVC. What a difference!
