Street Teams

Street Teams are esssential to getting the word about about your music. They are typically run by one or more fans and/or a band member.

How do you find someone to run your team?
The leader can be a band member, band member's girlfriend, or a dedicated fan. There are some things to keep in mind however, before they take the job:

1. They need to treat it like a job and be dependable. To be successful, the street team needs to be consistent.

2. Limited knowledge of HTML is definitely a plus!

3. Have time each day to devote to sending bulletins, answering messages/comments and general networking.

Having a band member be the "goto" person for the street team leader is a def plus, so everyone is on the same page. If the band has a new promotional angle, for example, the street team can assist with implementing it and help build excitement.
