A couple of months ago, my friends all told me that I would love 'Lost' and I agreed that I probably would but didn't feel like catching up on a show I was already 2 seasons behind. I finally sat down and watched the first episode of the first season (Zack had the boxed set) I was very excited. It turned out that 'Lost' was better than I could have imagined.
I am a big fan of mystery and adventure and 'Lost' has both. The only problem with the show is that if you didn't start watching from the beginning, you will be completely lost if you try to watch it. But if you have the time and wouldn't mind adding a new TV show to your viewing schedule, give 'Lost' a chance.
Now I will talk about this week's episode:
This season is not as strong as its predecessors. This last week's episode was no different.
I have no sympathy for the Others and I will be very upset if we are expected to in the future. It is true that they have only actually killed one person but that seemed to be to spare that person from impending torture by the hands of the Tailies. In all, the survivors of the plane crash have killed more people than the Others by far. They have killed Shannon, Analucia, Libby and at least 5 Others (that's all I can think of off the top of my head).
It was obvious that they didn't put a pacemaker in Sawyer but then what was in that big needle? It was probably just part of the deception but maybe it wasn't.
Desmond can see the future. But does he know this himself? When he went to talk to Claire about her roof being damaged he was acting like it already was ... perhaps he was just trying to trick her out of her shelter because he knew the lightening would strike it and possibly injure her or the baby. I hate how jealous Charlie gets about Claire; it really makes me dislike his character more and more. Back to Desmond, though ... he also told Hurley about Locke's speech before it happened but seemed to think that it already had so maybe he just has deja-vu.
I really hate the Others. Even if Jack had saved that woman's life they would have treated him like crap ... and if they are keeping him there just to fix Ben's spinal column I hope Jack agrees to help him and then severs his spinal cord.
I'm hooked on Lost again. Didn't care for last season much, but I think the introduction of the Others and the mystery surrounding them is a good way for the series to go. How did they get there? Have they elected to stay? Is Jack and his crew really invading the others' space? Pretty interesting stuff, I think
