It's very late...

Posted 22nd May 2007, terribly early in the morning

Or I guess I should say early. It's around 6:30 and I've been working on my final project for my Instructional Design class for most of the past 9 hours or so. It's a team project but we all had individual roles too and we were supposed to pick a company and do some kind of advertising campaign for them. So I decided I would do the website because I like doing stuff like that. My dad owns his own company so we decided we'd do that, and I've already done everything I don't need his input for. So I think I will stop for the night. Or morning. Or whatever.

Also, good news for me. I've gotten on the good side of the girl that does the scheduling for everyone at Kings Island, so I'm working Wednesday through Sunday this week. Which is good. I hate not having money. Partly because I don't like asking people for money because I need to buy gas or something, and partly because I haven't been able to do anything or go anywhere or buy anything lately. It's gotten me kind of depressed sometimes. Although I'm in a pretty good mood right now. I just need to get out and do something. It's summer. The time for laziness and staying inside is over.

Anyway, I think I will go get something to eat. And then sleep finally. So I'm done for now. I will write more about my exciting life when there is more to write.

Ooh, instructional design? I'm not really sure what the 'instructional' means, but design always perks my interest. Let us know how the rest of the project goes, and then post a link to the site you built if you actually get it to go live. That would be awesome! What are you going to get to eat? I hope it's not pizza bagels...

Thats great news all the way around Wes :) ... maybe your Dad will be able to bring in more clients with this ... and getting more hours is always good .. with it being a theme park your bond to get loads of hours when the kids are out of school ... just put some away since your seasonal ... looks like your up and on your feet again :) ... ( and Alex ... I love pizza bagels .. don't be hatin' ... lol )

Actually Instructional Design is more instructional than it is design. It's probably the most boring class I've ever taken. It's more about learning styles and the steps to preparing a project than it is actually doing a project. The only reason we actually got to do something was because we were supposed to show our understanding of the different steps and how they're related to the project.

Also, I have more good news. One: I passed the class I was just talking about. I failed the midterm but I got a 96 on my individual grade for the project and a decent grade on the group grade. So I made a C+ or something. Which normally I would say is kinda bad but for this class I'll take it. I really couldn't care less about anything I learned in that class. Unless anyone can tell me any reason why I should have the 5 steps of Knbor's Learning Process memorized. Or whatever the guy's name was.

Two: I won my case against the owner of the store I used to work at. I finally got the letter in the mail today saying I won and that he has to pay me everything he took out of my last check, plus 8% interest. So I'm happy about that.
