OK, I was totally on the verge of becoming a LOST-abandoner earlier this season, but even though I maintain that a lot of those episodes were filler, poorly paced, an overall waste o' time, etc., these last few episodes have been really great, and the season finale was TERRIFIC. I'm officially back on board: Though I'm sure my dedication will wane again in the middle of next season, I'll never again think of totally jumping ship.
And, without spoiling anything, I just want to say that I totally called the flashbacks.
OK, I'm going to talk about one spoilery thing, but in the interest of all you who haven't seen it yet, I'm going to make the text white. So if you want to read the hidden paragraph, select the text with your mouse, OK?

One thing I don't get: Why couldn't Charlie have closed the door from the OTHER SIDE? I mean, maybe he couldn't lock it from that side, but I mean come on, it's all water, right? He totally could've closed the door with Desmond's help and then swam up or something. Especially since there was freaking SCUBA GEAR right on the other side of the door.

That is all.
I've never watched the series but you have me curious now ... I find I lose interest about mid-season too with some television series .. I wonder what thats about ... O' and I love the white text ... so secretive :)
Alright, so my family is a HUGE Lost fan. And we all were yelling at Charlie about the same thing. He kind of just decided, "I'm supposed to die, so I'm not even going to be rational about this..."
I've been with the show for the past two seasons, and watched the entire first season on DVD. It's been great. and that flashback ... or "flash forward" was pretty much amazing and I called that at the very beginning of the show myself.
